Carolina Austin Day Camp

The members of the University of North Carolina Women’s Lacrosse staff are coming to Austin to host a two-day minicamp and you don’t want to miss a chance to have your girls learn from one of the premier programs in the country. This camp brings the best coaching in the country to your backyard. Carolina has won the NCAA Championship in 2013 and 2016 while capturing the ACC championship in 2018, 2017 and 2016 as well. The lacrosse sessions will be innovative and competitive with a focus on taking your game to the next level. The space is limited, and the coaching is unparalleled. Please pass along this information to your team or anyone who might be interested! We also would love to have any coaches attend the sessions as well!

Coaches:

Katrina Dowd: Associate Head coach for UNC, 2013 and 2016 National Champion as a coach; 2016, ACC Champion as a Coach, plays professionally for the Long Island Sound, member of the Canada coaching staff, won Gold medal in 2013 with Team USA while setting a tournament scoring record, was a two-time first-team IWLCA All-America at Northwestern (2009, 2010), won three NCAA championships (2007, 2008, 2009),2010 IWLCA Attacker of the Year and a Tewaaraton Award finalist, led the ’09 Wildcats to their third consecutive national title, scoring a team-high 75 goals.

In her career, Dowd compiled 209 goals and 58 assists for 267 total points in 88 games. She finished her career fourth in Northwestern history in goals, and in the Top 10 in assists, ground balls, caused turnovers and draw controls.

Kara Cannizzaro: Director of Development and Engagement at UNC , Co-Camp Director for UNC, Playing professionally for Upstate Pride, UNC 2010-2013, 2013 National Champion and tournament MVP, Tewaaraton Finalist, first women’s lacrosse player ever nominated for an ESPY, 2013 Honda Player of the year, 2013 captain, two time All-American and all-ACC selection,

Bring reversible, stick, goggles, mouthguard, water and snack
Players are welcome to bring lunch and eat at the HS or leave for lunch with parents
