SUMMARY:Lax Gives Back Charity Playday
DESCRIPTION:October 6th – 8:00 am – 7:00 pm\nBF Phillips Park\, Frisco TX \nGirls Lacrosse Club of Frisco will be hosting it’s Lax Gives Back Charity playday. It is a one day event with all registration proceeds and on field donations going to support local initiatives. \nEach field will have a different charity and we will have volunteers running up and down the sidelines encouraging parents to contribute $1/goal scored on that field. Last year we played on 4 fields and contributed about $1500 per charity – totaling nearly $6\,000. The kids had amazing sportsmanship\, learned a valuable lesson & were playing for a cause! SUMMARY:Laxtober in the Fort
DESCRIPTION:Havoc Girls Lacrosse Club in Fort Collins\, a non-profit lacrosse club based in Northern Colorado will host its first annual Laxtober in the Fort in early October 5-7. \nThis is a festival style\, round robin tournament meant to grow the game and have fun.  We plan to have age groups 14U\, 12U\, 10U\, and 8U and have a 4 game guarantee and we are considering 7v7 and 9v9 options if visiting teams cannot field full-size teams.  The tournament will be on Saturday Oct 6 with a get-together on Friday evening for teams to register and have dinner together. \nOctober 5-7\, 2018 \nTeams from Colorado and Surrounding States \nFort Collins\, Colorado \nPrice: \n$425 Early Bird. SUMMARY:4th Annual Dallas One Love Tournament
DESCRIPTION:Please email to confirm your participation by May 1st to Molly Ford – email \nTeam Donation\nWe are asking that each team donates $250 to enter into the tournament using one of the methods below: \nChecks can be made out to the One Love Foundation.\nDonate to One Love online: www.joinonelove.org/donate\nVenmo: @OneLoveFoundation \nIn the “I GIVE BECAUSE” section please have all donors write “Dallas One Love Lacrosse Tournament” \nRules and Format\nThis is a boys vs. girls tournament. We recommend that each team has a minimum of 15 players (12 players on the field at a time). Each team must wear their reversible practice pennie. All teams will play using women’s lacrosse rules (no contact) and equipment. Each girl’s team will need to provide 15 extra sticks and goggles to loan to the boys’ teams. \nOne Love Foundation Mission\nThe One Love Foundation was started in 2010 to honor the memory of Yeardley Love\, who was a senior\, and member of the women’s lacrosse team at UVA when she was tragically killed by her ex-boyfriend\, just weeks shy of her graduation. Today\, nearly five years after Yeardley’s death\, One Love is doing more work than ever to achieve its goal of raising awareness among young people to end relationship violence. In the 3rd year of this tournament\, the goal is to bring together boys and girls to raise awareness at the high school level by having a fun\, non-traditional lacrosse tournament. \nScreening of Escalation\nIn addition to the tournament\, The One Love Foundation would like to extend an invitation to the parents\, coaches and players of the teams that are participating in this tournament to view the film entitled Escalation and participate in a workshop. Escalation is a 40 minute film that is the centerpiece of a 90 minute workshop that One Love is bringing to campuses across the country this year. One Love representatives will be in town the week prior to the tournament.
